KOTA KINABALU: Sabahawks will kick off their 2013 campaign against Premier League new-boys KL SPA Putrajaya FC on January 7 in a home tie.

The look-easy opener will be followed by five matches in a busy January for the Sabahawks.

They would take on Sime Darby FC in their first away tie on January 11, followed by a home game against NS Betaria FC (January 14), away to UiTM FC (January 18) before taking on Kedah in what is likely to be their biggest home tie on January 21.

After the five league matches, Sabahawks will switch their focus to the FA Cup when they would begin their challenge by taking on Super League outfit Felda United FC on January 25. The return leg tie has been set for February 26.

After the FA Cup clash, the League is scheduled to take a 20-day break before Sabahawks resume their challenge by playing away to Kuala Lumpur on February 15. Three days later they are home to KL Pos Malaysia before travelling to Johor on February 22.

There will be three games in March for the Sabahawks.

They take on Police on March 1 at home before playing away to Sarawak on March 8.

After the Borneo Derby clash, the League is taking another break (21 days) before Sabahawks resume their challenge by playing away to Perlis on March 29, which will be the conclusion of the first round.

Sabahawks resume their second round campaign against the same side on April 12 at home before playing away to KL SPA Putrajaya FC on April 19.

This will be followed by a tie against KL Sime Darby on April 26.

It will be another busy month for Sabahawks in May as five matches await them.
