Kota Kinabalu: Sabah will have a great chance to get their first away win in the 2013 Premier League season today (Friday) at the KLFA Stadium in Cheras.
They will be taking on Kuala Lumpur who have yet to win a point and have conceded a total of 12 goals in three matches.
The Sabah players on the other hand, despite their unconvincing performance still managed to get two wins and they know that the points are for the taking if they can hold their ground today.
With Koh Traore in the team, they have a striker who is capable of shooting on target unlike the previous seasons where the team played well only up to the final third and ended with awful finishing.
Victory, according to Sabah Premier League team manager Alijus Sipil is all that matters at this stage of the game.
With six points collected so far they are on the verge of achieving their targeted 11 points this month as set by Alijus with the final match against Kedah to be played at home next Monday.
Sabah who got their second home win on Monday again failed to pass crisply and cleanly and the midfield has yet to find its footing but at least they showed some slight improvement.
The return of Radzi Mohd Hussin in the centre of midfield with Ibnu Kassim certainly ignited the engine room.
He is most likely to start again together with last season's President Cup captain Didie Arizal who played on the left flank on Monday.
Although it wasn't his natural position and he does not possess the undoubted skill of Farid Saibun whom he replaced, at least he is more of a team player and showed his determination to distract the opponent's movement from the right.
He was unfairly criticised with his failure to deliver neat passes to the box but those who made the call should take note that he was a centre back by nature and it was the first time he played in that position as well.
His presence also saw Sumardi Hajalan finally getting the chance to venture forward doing overlapping runs which was non existent in the first match against KL SPA.
Meanwhile, Alto Linus may also be given the chance the play as right back with Shahrul Azhar Ture taking over Shahrudin Yakup on the right flank.
Veteran Zainizam Marjan will definitely start the game after his lively role on Monday despite his age.
With Rhys David Weston still unable to make the trip, Shahril Faizal Ahmad Shariffuddin is set to partner Roslin Wasli at the centre of defence again while Sharil Sa'ari will man the posts.
